Locking Policy:
1. Because this journal involves work that might have "some adult content" or "explicit adult material" in it, you absolutely must have your birth year in your profile in order for me to approve you. This is in accordance with the Dreamwidth Terms of Service as I understand them.

If your journal and/or profile has absolutely no English in it (doesn't have to be a sentence), thereby making it impossible for me to determine anything about you as a person, I will not approve you. Sorry, but I need to know at least a little about the people I'm allowing into my community. I also need to know that these journals are, in fact, people and not "ghost journals."
3. If your journal and/or profile is empty, see #2, rinse, repeat if necessary.

To Whom It May Concern:

This journal will be used to post fiction and forecasts/updates of same. As should be apparent, the journal has been marked as adult because some--not all, mind you--of my posts are of an adult nature. Even with this safeguard in place, I also go so far as to mark my adult posts as containing adult content. All entries are members only by default.

I feel that I must make the following clarifications about the work that will be posted in this journal and by me throughout various archives/journal communities in my fandoms:

(PLEASE NOTE: ALL POSTS CONTAINING ANY OF THE BELOW BULLETED ITEMS WILL CONTAIN SPECIFIC WARNINGS ABOVE THE CUT AND IN THE TAGS BEFORE THE POSSIBLY OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT IS REVEALED TO THE USER.)

• I fully understand that rape, sexual assault, and incest of any kind are criminally abusive offenses and cause extreme trauma to anyone who experiences them. I, therefore, consider them to be hostile (though victims thereof need feel no shame, as they did NOT "ask for it"), and any occurrence of them in my fiction appears only as typical character behavior (vampires or other soulless beings). My human-human fiction will never contain rape, sexual assault, or incest.


• I fully believe in "thou shalt not kill," and also object to other violent crimes; however, I write in fandoms that involve vampires (i.e., soulless killers), the devil and his minions, and FBI/forensic anthropologists (i.e., people who solve murders), so some amount of gruesome material in my posts is inevitable. There will never be any detailed depiction of human-human violence in any of my fiction.


• I have a real problem with statutory rape (adult with child). It is wrong in so many ways. There will be fiction posts, however, involving such where it is shown to be wrong. There will be sex between an adult and a child (no details given), but it will be almost immediately shown how the child is adversely affected. PERSONAL EXCEPTION: I do not consider sex between two consenting high school students to be any kind of rape. If this offends you, either do not join this community or do not read any of my fanfics rated "teens and older" or "adults only" involving a teen pairing (e.g., my Glee fics).


• I also have a real problem with child abuse. Children are incapable of defending themselves against abuse, and anyone who hurts a child should be put in prison, where prisoners who miss their own children almost always find ways of working in the Darwin effect. That said, there are some characters in my fandom whom I believe experienced child abuse when they were little; and I might, at some point, post fiction where they are abused as children. The abuse, of course, will be shown as bad behavior. Physical abuse will never be described in detail.


• Minors use adult language all the time; however, any stories involving adult language will be marked as "M" and "some adult content." Any stories using the "f***" word (very rare) will be marked "FRMA-AL" and "explicit content." If you disagree with my claim about minors using adult language, plant yourself inconspicuously behind a high school where the "cool" kids gather together during lunch and/or after school. My fiction involving teenagers will involve teenagers using adult language.


• I have a real problem with anyone having casual (premarital) sex without use of a condom; however, I write in fandoms that involve vampires and the devil and his minions, whose bodies can neither support disease-carrying organisms nor reproductive material (reproductive carrying fluid, yes--reproductive material, no)--other than through the influence of the PTB's. Hey, don't ask me. I just write fanfic for the fandoms. I didn't invent the fandoms' mythos. All human-human stories involving sex will involve condom use but not in detail.


• Based on my own hormone experiences, I fully believe that homosexuality stems from a hormone imbalance with which people are born. There are also intersex people (medically, "hermaphrodites") born for whom the parents/surgeons choose the incorrect sex organs to keep. It is therefore asinine to persecute and/or object to homosexual activity, relationships, love, and marriage. Yes, there are those who are obnoxious and push themselves on non-receptive straight people, but the rest of the homosexual community should not suffer prejudice for a few bad seeds. (Also, there are just as many obnoxious straight people who push themselves on non-receptive parties.) That said, there will be posts in this journal detailing homosexual male activity. I am educated enough to know that homosexuality--any sexual orientation, for that matter--is something that is just as "natural" or "normal" as heterosexuality.


• Terrorism exists because there are a bunch of narrow-minded, ignorant people in the world. In case this doesn't make it clear enough--yes, I object to it. I also have absolutely no idea how to make any materials to cause any harm to anyone or to cause any security breaches. Any mention of same is merely that: a mention. Such mentions are merely plot devices to put my various fandoms' characters in a situation where they are forced together or to tend to each other for a long period of time. Me likey the hurt/comfort.


• Anyone who is currently verbally, emotionally, physically, psychologically, or sexually abusive to anyone--especially "loved ones"--without seeking psychiatric and/or spiritual help to change the behavior does not deserve to be in the company of others, no matter how charming they are when not being abusive. Abusive behavior of any kind is wrong, wrong, WRONG. Some of my fiction will contain abusive behavior; but, again, any occurrence of it in my fiction appears only as typical character behavior and will be shown as harmful and wrong in the reactions of others. Fics containing such behavior will be clearly marked with warnings, ratings, and tags.


• Illegal drug use and prescription drug or alcohol abuse are very troubled, harmful behaviors due to genetics and/or illness. Should these behaviors ever enter any of my fiction, they will only be shown as such. Fics containing such behavior will be clearly marked with warnings, ratings, and tags.


• All religions have the right to coexist in this world, as long as they are not causing harm to other humans or animals emotionally or physically whether consensual or not (because the "consensual" is often due to propaganda, just like Naziism). I, therefore, refuse to censor the references to "Pagan" religions in my fiction. Some of my characters may, however, mock certain religions because, again, it is in character for them. This does not mean I condone prejudicial behavior; in fact, I find such behavior extremely frustrating. Fics containing such behavior will be clearly marked with warnings, ratings, and tags.


• I find any kind of prejudice extremely frustrating, to say the least. Any occurrence of it in my fiction appears only as a plot device or a typical character behavior. Fics containing such behavior will be clearly marked with warnings, ratings, and tags.


• I do not condone conspiracy theorism as a rule. Any occurrence of it in my fiction appears only as typical character behavior (e.g., "Jack Hodgins, PhD," from Bones). Fics containing such behavior will be clearly marked with warnings, ratings, and tags.
